Newborn, baby and family photography can either take place in Sophie's York-based studio setting or in the comfort of your own home.
With a pure, light and airy shooting and editing style the images will focus solely on your baby with minimal props and fuss, just beautiful baby portraits for you to forever treasure this special time in your lives.
Included in newborn and baby photography up to 1 year is use of the studio wardrobe and props, Sophie has an array of gorgeous baby outfits for you to choose from and a selection of little hats, hair ties, wraps and beautiful bespoke wooden props. You are also welcome to bring your own outfits if you wish.
Newborn photography is best within the first 3 weeks of baby's arrival for those sleepy, dreamy images so please ensure you book in advance for your session. It is recommended to secure your booking during pregnancy.

There is the option to upgrade your Baby Photography Session to a Cake Smash photoshoot or Birthday photoshoot.
A Cake Smash session always starts as a normal portrait session (mess-free!) We then have an outfit change for Baby, bring out the cake and let them have some Birthday fun!

The backdrop will be made from images of your baby from their first year, please ensure you have booked this at least 8 weeks in advance so that there is time to create this for you. You will also have all of the printed photographs used to take home with you on the day of the session.

please note due to allergy and intolerance possibilities you will need to provide your own cake for the session. Sophie will provide a white cake stand and spoon and wooden light up letters.
If you would like to bring balloons, bubbles, special toys etc you are more than welcome to, please mention this upon booking so we can plan ahead so the shoot goes as smoothly and as successfully as possible :-)
